If you listened to our most recent episode, episode 27, you’ll know we had returning panelist Mike “Sharky” James on the show. He was a great panelists, just like all our panelists are, and we had a great time talking about the Steve McCurry controversy among other topics. Well if you didn’t already know Sharky hosts his own podcast, one with a MUCH larger audience than ours called the PetaPixel Photography Podcast. If you don’t already listen to the show, I highly recommend checking it out, I think you’ll really like it.
Well Sharky was gracious enough to let me open his show, episode 75, last week. Opening a show like PetaPixel is a pretty cool honor for someone like me as it puts me in the same category as photographers who are in a much higher category of notoriety and fame than myself. I was really happy to do it and proud to have been given the opportunity. After that, Sharky was on our show for his second time. He appeared way back in episode 4 and we were extremely happy to have him on then as he even brought on his own guest. Considering how new we were as a podcast it was really great to see such support early on.
We’ve now been mentioned again on episode 77. It feels great to be plugged by such a rising star in the podcasting world. If you’re new here thanks to Sharky than I hope you enjoy our show and continue to listen or watch. We love having discussions about photojournalism, visual journalism and documentary filmmaking and your interest in what we do is why we do it. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us and let us know what you think about the show. We are always interested in feedback, suggestions and hey, if your a visual journalist yourself why not let us know, you might just be on the show.
