AtL 7 – Stephanie Keith, Ryan McBride, Justin Mott

We have a historic first for this week’s episode of Around the Lens, a full house of three panelists, making this the first five-person show ever. What a way to start the year! Speaking of starting the year, we started a new one, 2016, and with any new year comes resolutions, so we discussed visual journalism based resolutions. Also with the passing year come the passing of many famous, well-known, or just influential and newsworthy visual journalists, so we spend some time discussing some of those who are no longer with us (link). Next, a new segment for the show, Camera Talk, where we discuss a new camera or piece of gear and then get into a big personal gush session about the gear we use and love. Finally, we wrap up the show with a story related to the world of rooftopping, which means shooting photos from the tops of roofs. Apparently this is very dangerous and people have died doing it, so don’t do it (link).
