The Ongoing Drama of the World Press Photo Plagiarism Controversy
- Iranian photographer Solmaz Daryani accused German photographer Maximilian Mann of plagiarizing her work by covering a similar topic and choosing similar shots.
- The DOCKS collective that Mann belongs to discovered that some of the shots Daryani claims were copied were not in the public sphere and not on her website, therefore he couldn’t have copied them. Daryani disputes this claim saying that her website changes all the time and that they only reference periods of time when the photos weren’t there not every time the story changed.

National Geographic Using Grant Application for Right’s Grab
- Nat Geo is offering $1,000 to $8,000 for grant applicants covering COVID-19 but their T&C’s say that the photographer gives up their rights to the images.
