Topics 1: Covering Family Events
– Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Christmas is not too much farther away so many of us will be returning home for the holidays. Since many of us are proficient with a camera we will more than likely be asked to video or photograph some portion of the family get together.
– How do we react to these requests? Are we eager to support or despise picking up the camera?
– Do you think it’s fair to provide your services to your family members for free or should you be compensated?
Topic 2: Photographer Wins Case
– Avi Adelman was paid $345,000 to settle a lawsuit where Adelman alleged he was illegally arrested for taking photos of someone being treated for an overdose. Police claimed he was violating HIPPA regulations but those charges were dropped, regardless he still was arrested and spent a night in jail.
– What are our thoughts on this case? Is this a win or another sign that our profession is continually being infringed upon?
– What would you do in Avi’s situation?
Topic 3: Photoshop for iPad
– Full Photoshop is available for the iPad.
– How does it run? Is it equivalent to computer Photoshop? How does the Apple Pencil work with the program?
– Can we see this version of Photoshop becoming a part of regular workflow?
