News: Working Both Sides
Where does your responsibility as a visual journalist end when you are working with a subject that might be against the U.S. That is the question being posed to Laura Poitras, a filmmaker who documented both sides of the war in Iraq in 2004. It’s expected for journalists to try to cover both sides of the topic, but in this case it seems Laura knew of an ambush against the American soldiers, an ambush that cost lives, and she said nothing to the U.S. What are thoughts on this?

How do we critique others? Are we timid? Are we burial? Do we just avoid the whole thing all together? How do you critique others work and what do you think is the best way to do so.
Gear: Selfie Stick Case
So a inventor created a selfie stick case and put it up on Kickstarter for funding. Well no more than a week after posting it did a Chinese knock off appear on Amazon for less than half of what he was selling it for. What do we think of these companies that rip off other people’s inventions? I’m sure we’ve all benefitted from a Chinese knock off at one point or another.
