About

About the Show

Around the Lens is a weekly, roundtable, visual journalism show that began life as an audio-only podcast Nov. 10, 2015, and since become a live-streaming show that appears on both YouTube and as a podcast. Each week visual journalists from throughout the industry come together to discuss news, topics and gear related to or career field. Visual journalism, as we define it, encompasses both photojournalism and documentary filmmaking, and the people who appear as panelists on our show currently do or have represented one or both of those career fields in their professional career or personal lives.

We don’t exclude talk of more general topics related to the world of photography or filmmaking, but they aren’t the focus. If you are looking for a more general interest show there are many to choose from, one of the best is This Week in Photography.

He’s been to Ferguson, Euromaidan, No NATO, OWS and at two different Trump rallies. He was beaten and trampled at Occupy, arrested there too.
